Job Summary
LSSP role providing assessment, consultation, and intervention in a school-based setting. Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations, interpret assessment data to determine eligibility and service needs, contribute to development and implementation of IEPs, provide counseling and behavioral intervention strategies, and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include ARD/IEP meeting participation, reevaluations in accordance with state and federal guidelines, and maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation. Requires a Master’s in School Psychology or related field and valid Texas licensure as an LSSP; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Flexible placements available across Houston-area schools with potential travel between campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
- Experience administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
