Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Interpret results to collaborate with teachers, parents, and stakeholders on interventions and support plans. Provide individual and group counseling for anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and social skills deficits. Develop functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors. Participate in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans. Serve as a resource for school staff through consultation, training, and support on psychological assessment and behavior management. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, counseling sessions, and progress reports. Report for full-time onsite work in Tomball, TX, for the 26/27 school year.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
  • Previous experience working as an LSSP in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, psychoeducational testing, and intervention strategies relevant to children and adolescents
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and external agencies
  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day
