Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning, and interpret results to develop and implement appropriate interventions. Provide individual and group counseling for issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems, while collaborating with teachers and parents to create and execute behavior intervention plans. Participate in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and serve as a resource for school staff through consultation and training on psychological assessment and behavior management. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all sessions and progress reports. Start August 2026 for the 26/27 school year, working full-time onsite in Tomball, TX, with a starting rate of $50/hour. Requires a TX LSSP license and Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Required Qualifications
- TX LSSP License required
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
- Previous experience working as an LSSP in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of assessment tools, psychoeducational testing, and intervention strategies relevant to children and adolescents
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and external agencies
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping
- Experience in teletherapy or online counseling
