Job Summary
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Unit Director – Licensed Social Worker leads and coordinates a specialized skilled nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Oversees program development, behavioral management, family engagement, and achievement of operational goals, partnering with nursing, therapy, psychology, psychiatry, and medical providers. Requires a current IL LSW or LCSW, and 3+ years of healthcare experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or behavioral health; strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and long-term care regulations; CBIS credential preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or neurological services.
- Experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries, cognitive impairments, or complex behavioral health needs.
