Job Summary
Guide students through intake, orientation, and goal setting, then provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management for assigned students. Document all sessions, communications, and interventions using school systems, while leading review meetings and preparing progress reports for attendance and discharge planning. Collaborate with families, school districts, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate supports and facilitate student transitions. Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices to identify triggers and implement de-escalation strategies. Requires a Master's degree with current Pennsylvania licensure and three to five years of experience supporting youth in educational or behavioral health settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field
- current Pennsylvania certification or licensure as a School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, LSW, LCSW, LPC, NCC, Licensed Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or equivalent credential
- Three to five years of experience supporting youth in educational, behavioral health, mental health, or human services settings
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations, student support services, behavioral interventions, and mental health systems
- Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
