Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and treatment planning for inmates based on referrals. Serve as the mental health liaison between the medical unit, facility staff, and outside services. Monitor and coordinate all mental health programs to ensure compliance with NCCHC standards and accepted psychiatric practices. Facilitate inmate admissions to forensic hospitals when necessary and lead in-service education programs. Prepare monthly performance reports and participate in the Quality Assurance Committee. Work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)
- Master's degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience and familiarity with substance abuse/MAT (i.e., Medicated Assisted Treatment) counseling
