Job Summary
Licensed Servers are responsible for positive customer interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. They prepare and serve food and alcohol products, accept orders, process payments, and maintain a clean work area. Servers will be required to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays. Duties include demonstrating high levels of customer service, processing orders and payments accurately, following food safety guidelines and AGCO alcohol practices, performing opening/closing duties, assisting with event setups and catering service at golf courses and venues, assisting with inventory control and verification. Preferred experience in food and beverage, banquet/event, and knowledge of WHMIS/OHSA; mandatory certifications include Food Handlers, Smart Serve, and Emergency First Aid (or willingness to obtain within specified timeframe). The role is part-time with hourly pay in the specified range and potential gratuities; work locations include multiple Mississauga venues such as the Civic Centre, Living Arts Centre, and local golf courses.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certificate required or willing to obtain prior to starting
- Smart Serve Certificate required or willing to obtain prior to starting
- Emergency First Aid Certificate required or willing to obtain within 6 months of start date
- 18 years of age minimum
- knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety
- experience in Food and Beverage and/or Banquet/Event is an asset
