Job Summary
Licensed Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care per physician orders, verifying orders, and clarifying discrepancies. Documents patient assessments and treatments; instructs patients using handouts; ensures respiratory equipment is set up correctly and communicates ABG values to physicians with improvement suggestions. Performs additional duties as required and supports the Respiratory Care Services team under supervision of the Medical Director and Clinical Coordinator; 0.9 FTE with variable shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of respiratory care
- Certified or registered by the NBRC
- Current NYS respiratory therapist or technician license
- BLS/CPR certification
