Job Summary
Perform residential and light commercial plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations while diagnosing issues involving fixtures, water lines, drains, and systems. Complete drain cleaning, sewer rodding, and sewer service work, ensuring all labor meets local codes and safety requirements. Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings directly with customers. Safely operate company vehicles and tools, and support apprentices in the field. This role includes a shared rotating on-call schedule with weekend coverage and requires a valid Illinois Journeyman Plumber License.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman Plumber License
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 4 years of professional plumbing experience
- Experience servicing residential plumbing systems and light commercial plumbing systems
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to complete plumbing repairs, maintenance, service work, and installations independently
- Willingness to perform drain cleaning, sewer rodding, and sewer service work
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to guide and mentor apprentice plumbers
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes, safety practices, and industry standards
- Ability to maintain accurate service documentation
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment
- Willingness to perform drain cleaning, sewer rodding, and sewer service work
Desired Qualifications
- Sewer rodding experience is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate
