Job Summary
The Licensed/Qualified Mental Health Professional provides mental health services in a correctional setting, including intake and assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, consulting with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering individual and group therapy. Requires a master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field and an active Missouri license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT), CPR/BLS certification, and willingness to undergo background checks and security clearance. Two years of direct care experience with individuals with mental illness is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday days with an on-call rotation and stipend; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, holidays, FSA, and continuing education support.
Required Qualifications
- Masters level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution
- Active Independent mental health professional license Missouri: LPC, LCSW, LMFT
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support certification
- Two years’ experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
