Job Summary
Perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well-being while following the established plan of care. Observe, record, and report patient responses to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and physician. Instruct families and caregivers on therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant. Coordinate care with the healthcare team and adhere to all state-specific laws governing home care physical therapy. Work a weekend rotation with a full-time schedule. Requires a current license, driver's license, and vehicle access.
Required Qualifications
- Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Access to a dependable vehicle
- Public transportation
- Available to work a weekend rotation
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to complete CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility
