Job Summary
Provide direct psychiatric and nursing care to patients in a secure correctional setting, administering medications and monitoring behavioral changes. Complete accurate clinical documentation, assist with crisis intervention, and support therapeutic activities while communicating updates to nursing, medical, and custody staff. Adhere strictly to medication, safety, security, and infection-control procedures. Requires an active California Psychiatric Technician license, 12 months of recent experience, and BLS certification. Earn $56 to $58 per hour on a 26-week full-time contract with five 8-hour shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted California Psychiatric Technician license
- At least 12 months of recent LPT experience
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong medication-administration and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a secure correctional environment
- Ability to complete all required background and facility clearances
