Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients and families, setting measurable objectives in conjunction with the rehabilitation team. Provide empirically based psychological interventions and design community reintegration activities to support cognitive and physical recovery. Assist individuals in understanding their limitations and manage them during daily function while regularly re-assessing treatment plans and progress. Communicate patient needs, status changes, and goals to the treatment team, physicians, and family members. Maintain and submit all evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Adhere to the Code of Business Conduct, HIPAA, and professional practice standards. Requires a current professional license, master's or doctoral degree, and one year of clinical experience with traumatic or acquired brain injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a counseling-related field from an accredited college or university, as determined by the state licensing requirements
- Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state of practice
- A minimum of one year of post master's degree clinical experience and counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques
- Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and part of a team
- Has reliable transportation and can travel to/from multiple assignments/ locations on a daily basis
