Job Summary
Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist role within Eventus WholeHealth for long-term care residents. Provides recovery-oriented behavioral health services, case management, and supports development/coordination of individualized treatment plans in skilled nursing or assisted living facilities. Works within a multidisciplinary team, delivering direct services to residents or groups, training staff on triggers and de-escalation, maintaining open communication with facility personnel, and ensuring adherence to policies, regulatory guidelines, and HIPAA. Opportunities may exist for transition to counseling services; requires Masters degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy and licensure eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Masters degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy
- Eligibility for a license to practice in the state of practice
- Knowledge of behavioral health interventions
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Skill in gathering/analyzing patient data
- Skill in training staff on client triggers, de-escalation techniques, and treatment plans
- Ability to communicate effectively with facility staff and patients' families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies
- Ability to collaborate with healthcare team
