Job Summary
Conduct individual in-home and group therapy sessions at the outpatient center, performing bio-psycho-social assessments and maintaining confidential client records. Guide clients in developing coping and social skills to reduce risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression while collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical experience, collecting data through interviews and observations to prepare timely reports. Act as a client advocate for crisis coordination and emergency problem resolution. Maintain weekly paperwork and attend monthly meetings, adhering to a flexible after-school schedule from 4-7 pm including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy or related fields
- at least 2 years of experience providing positive behavior supports, PECS, social stories, use of visual aids and implementing behavior support plans
- prior experience working with children ages 3-20
- at least 1-years of experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)
- Licensure for Licensed position: LPC
- available for minimum 5-10 hours per week during after school hours of 4-7 pm
- Schedule must be flexible
- This will include weekends
- Must pass criminal background check including Finger Printing and TB Testing
- Valid a driver's license and registered vehicle
