Job Summary
Conduct assessments, provide direct support to medical staff, and deliver brief intervention and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, children, and groups facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Plan and implement treatment strategies, assist clients in identifying action courses, and monitor symptom severity while educating patients on medication side effects and adherence. Write progress notes, maintain client records, and make appropriate referrals. Provide community education on prevention and early interventions, coordinate ongoing assessments, and submit accurate reports to the supervisor. Requires current Texas licensure, a Master's degree, and at least two years of post-graduation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or clinical Psychology or a related field of study from an accredited university and/or college
- Completion of degree and all post-degree supervision for licensure
- Current licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor
- Must be able to adapt to a job where the duties and responsibility vary to meet the needs of the patient
- Must have a motor vehicle that is operable and compliant with State Laws
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to prioritize and allocate resources
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Prefer at least a minimum of two (2) years' experience post-graduation
