Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nursing Specialist at Bethesda in Cody, WY oversees staff, assigns duties, and ensures high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include supervising staff, conducting rounds, delegating tasks as per policy, addressing performance issues, promoting accountability and autonomy, reviewing and adjusting care plans with Charge Nurses, implementing resident/family teaching, participating in direct patient care, responding to call lights and assisting with ADLs, ensuring safe and clean environment, completing QAPI and nursing forms, attending Team Leader and CNA meetings, coordinating facility activities, analyzing problems, investigating concerns, and handling crisis situations; requires current LPN licensure, long-term care experience with supervisory background, strong communication skills, multitasking, physical stamina, ability to lift and transfer residents, and thorough documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN in the state you will be working
- Two years long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors and staff
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to transfer and move residents who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with residents and equipment
- Ability to perform necessary documentation
- Visual acuity
- Must be able to manage a diversity of activities
