Job Summary
Provides basic nursing care by assessing residents on admission and ongoing, communicates changes to the interdisciplinary team, documents assessments, participates in the care planning process, updates the care plan as interventions require, and implements nursing interventions including medication administration. Administers IV fluids if IV certified. Uses SBARR for physician communication. Maintains composure during crises, monitors care delivery, identifies issues via QAPI, and supports ongoing education. Requires LPN licensure, IV certification, CPR/AED certification, strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to perform ADLs and nursing tasks in a long-term care/rehab/assisted living setting. May be assigned other duties as appropriate; benefits include 403b, daily pay, and holiday pay.
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current license in the state you will be working as an LPN
- IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Excellent communication skills; critical thinking; ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
