Job Summary
Take and document patient history and vital signs, assist with daily triage, sick call, and minor medical surgical procedures, administer medications, perform venipuncture and I.V. therapy, and collect samples, specimens, and cultures. Transcribe therapeutic orders and rotate through roles such as medication pass nurse, detox nurse, and sick call nurse. This full-time day shift position at the Santa Cruz County Jail supports employee growth with cross-training opportunities and internal promotion pathways.
