Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in a geriatric nursing/rehabilitation setting. Under RN supervision, the LPN assists in directing nursing services on the unit, delegates duties to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitors patient condition, notifies physicians of emergencies, implements changes in orders as instructed, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires an LPN license in North Carolina, High School diploma, CPR certification, and a genuine interest in geriatric nursing; capable of providing quality nursing care and following physician orders. Must be willing to work as charge nurse and assist during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current, valid LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certified yearly
- Willing to work as charge nurse and cover emergencies
- Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients and follow doctors' orders
