Licensed Practical Nurse - Weekend Option - Transitional Care

Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician in Transitional Care. Responsibilities include data collection for patient assessment, administering medications, monitoring for adverse reactions, patient and family education, triage/referral to physicians as needed, relaying information to patients, and performing plan-of-care interventions. The role requires a valid LPN license to practice in Kentucky and BLS certification within 45 days of employment, as well as a high school diploma or GED. Shift is 7A-7P on weekends, 0.9 FTE at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Kentucky. The job emphasizes critical thinking, ability to work under general supervision, and maintaining compliance with Nurse Practice Act; additional administrative/clerical duties may be performed as needed.
