Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care for patients with predictable outcomes while documenting all activities. Provide support to clients and families within a client and family centred care model. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and support a Registered Nurse when caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex acuity. Maintain clinical competence in accordance with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives standards. Work independently and collaboratively under general supervision to perform full scope of practical nursing functions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
