Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care for patients with predictable outcomes within a designated specialty area. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and support the Registered Nurse when caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex acuity. Document all client care activities and maintain clinical competence in accordance with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives standards. Work within a client and family centred care model under general supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
