Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document client care for patients with predictable outcomes within a designated specialty area. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support Registered Nurses in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex acuity beyond the LPN scope of practice. Maintain clinical competence in accordance with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives standards. Work within a client and family centred care model while adhering to minimum Nurse to Patient Ratios. Note: This is a temporary internal position requiring full duration commitment, with hours subject to operational changes per the Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses
- Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
