Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse will perform various duties during shifts, including patient care and education, establishing trust with patients and families. Responsibilities include resolving pending issues from previous shifts, conducting compliance audits, managing medication storage and returns, ordering supplies, and tracking lab orders. The role also involves administrative functions and participation in the treatment planning process. Collaboration with the treatment team, effective communication with staff, adaptability to changing situations, and the ability to accept supervision are crucial. Candidates must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, certification in Practical Nursing, and a valid Florida nursing license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Practical Nursing or equivalent as per state law
- Licensed to practice in the State of Florida
Desired Qualifications
- Higher education preferred
- Two years’ experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Experience in a Behavioral health setting ideal
