Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a geriatric unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists in directing nursing services, delegates duties to professional and non-professional staff, and monitors performance. Observes patients for signs of adverse change, notifies attending physician of emergencies or death, and implements changes in orders as instructed by physicians. Performs other duties as assigned and participates in in-service training. Requires NC LPN license, high school graduation, CPR certification, and willingness to work as charge nurse and provide emergency coverage. $10,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Current, valid LPN license
- Willing to work as charge nurse and assist with emergencies to ensure coverage
- CPR certified yearly
