Licensed Practical Nurse - The Longstreet Clinic - Family Medicine

Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, perform initial assessments, and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians. Administer medications, document interventions, and implement physician orders while maintaining infection control and safety practices. Prioritize acute needs, serve as a clinical resource for medical assistants, and conduct ongoing assessments with written and verbal reporting. Maintain current skills checklists, complete six hours of continuing education annually, and act as a preceptor for nursing students or new staff. Cross-train in basic radiological and laboratory functions as needed and lead clinically related in-service training for center staff.
