Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering efficient and effective nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role includes patient evaluation, care planning, and direct patient care, while supervising unlicensed staff. The LPN must ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain communication with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing
- Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing
- Ability to coordinate, delegate, and supervise unlicensed nursing functions
- Basic knowledge of computer use
