Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care in a clinic setting under supervision of licensed practitioners or RNs. Responsibilities include administering medications via oral, inhalation, or injection routes; performing diagnostic testing such as EKGs and basic labs; documenting patient information in the electronic medical record; educating patients on treatment plans and medication management; collaborating with providers to support patient care plans; maintaining infection control and HIPAA compliance; managing daily logs (e.g., narcotics, vaccine temperatures); and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Requires state LPN/LVN licensure and Basic Life Support certification; 0-2 years of clinical/outpatient experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse license (state licensure)
- LVN/Licensed Vocational Nurse license (state licensure)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support certification from Red Cross or AHA
