Job Summary
Provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse for a unit/hall, including observing patients for signs of adverse change, notifying attending physicians of emergencies, implementing changes in orders, delegating duties to nurses and nursing personnel, and performing assigned duties in geriatric care. Must be an LPN with NC licensure, high school graduate, CPR certified, and able to work as charge nurse and during emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina
- High school graduate
- Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Willing to work as charge nurses and during emergencies to assure adequate coverage
- Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients and follow physicians' orders
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required
