Job Summary
Provide nursing services and supports to individuals with brain injury/IDD/substance use disorder/emotional or behavioral disability in a community-based Sevita setting. Monitor health conditions, administer medications under physician orders, oversee and monitor staff who administer medications, and conduct assessments to implement health care services in each Individual Service Plan (ISP). Train staff on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration; serve as liaison/advocate with other medical and professional providers; educate individuals served on self-medication, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or a graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current state LPN or LVN License
- One year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity
- Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance
- CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training as required by state licensing regulations
