Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse providing nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and related conditions in community-based settings. Responsibilities include monitoring health conditions, administering medications and documenting care, overseeing and training staff who administer medications, delivering prescribed medical treatments and personal care per physician orders, conducting assessments and updating ISP care plans, providing staff training on universal precautions and infection control, coordinating with medical providers and external agencies, and offering education on self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or state certificate and active LPN/LVN licensure. First-shift daytime hours with full-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or state certificate
- One year of experience working with population served in a nursing capacity
- Current state LPN or LVN licensure for state of residence
- Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Other certifications as required by state licensing regulations such as CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training
