Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care under an RN or physician, delivering care to individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, substance abuse, or behavioral challenges across multiple sites. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring health, coordinating with pharmacy and staff, training staff on medication administration, universal precautions, infection control, and self-care topics; performing health assessments; organizing and transporting individuals to activities; possible after-hours coverage; and travel between locations with on-call duties. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field (or LPN program graduate), current LPN license, at least one year of nursing experience with the target population, and state-specified certifications (CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS, BBP, ACT). Salary ranges from $34-$39/hour with night shift differential, with full- or part-time schedules, and location-based duties in Littleton, CO. The role involves heavy physical tasks, confidentiality, and collaboration with external agencies to ensure consistent treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field
- Current state LPN License
- One year experience working with population served in a nursing capacity
- CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training as required by state licensing regulations
- Blood Borne Pathogen awareness
- Physical requirements for heavy work as described
