Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize instruments, and maintain aseptic technique while assisting the surgical team during procedures. Pass instruments, anticipate surgeon needs, and perform accurate counts of sponges and supplies throughout the operation. Support preoperative and postoperative care by assisting with patient positioning, vital signs monitoring, wound closure, and mobility. Document intraoperative details and communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR personnel. Work rotating days under RN supervision with a salary of $30.00-$35.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team
