Job Summary
Assess individual residents' needs to organize care plans promoting maximum independence and update these plans every six months. Distribute medications, provide treatments, and serve meals while adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Supervise attendants, answer emergency calls, and act as a team leader to develop employees and ensure adequate service levels. Maintain accurate records of observations, report incidents to management, and complete all required training and mandatory programs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of grade 12 education
- Recognized nursing license (LPN licensing) in good standing with Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (SALPN)
- Emergency First Aid certification
- CPR certification
- AED certification
- Proficient computer skills (i.e. Word and Excel)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Dependable, responsible, and ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently
- Positive attitude necessary to meet the goals and standards of the residence
- Resident-oriented individual whose visions and values align with those of the residence
- Excellent leadership skills

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an LPN in a health care setting
