Job Summary
Assist with patient care including checking vital signs, administering injections, performing tests, and reinforcing instructions given by RN or Physician. Record detailed reports of care given, handle proper charting and documentation, and maintain confidentiality of patient records. Check, clean, and dress wounds while notifying RN or Physician of significant findings or changes in patient condition. Place phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions and stock patient rooms with supplies. Initiate emergency assistance as per policies and procedures and provide emotional support as needed. Attend staff development trainings and keep skills current. Work Sunday through Thursday from 3 pm to 11 pm with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- NYS LPN licensure
- BLS certification
- High School or GED
- Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program
- At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
- Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Ability to put patients at ease and explain physician's instructions
- Ability to multi-task with excellent organization skills
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Team player and ability to work independently
