Manage patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed RN by collecting patient data, reviewing diagnostic results, and performing treatments as prescribed. Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to contribute to the plan of care, make referrals, and provide discharge teaching while adhering to infection control and medication administration policies. Actively engage in quality and core curriculum classes, professional development workshops, and peer support groups to refine nursing knowledge and successfully complete clinical competencies. Record all patient care delivered, observe impending problems, and escalate emergency situations or unsafe working conditions to the RN. Fulfill unit calls as assigned, adjust staffing based on census and acuity, and demonstrate active participation in quality improvement processes.
