Job Summary
Conduct all quality and core curriculum classes, actively participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups, and successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program. Collect patient data, complete required forms, identify patient needs, communicate with the RN, review diagnostic results, and perform patient care under direct supervision of a licensed RN. Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to provide input on the plan of care, make referrals to multidisciplinary support services, and integrate cost-effective measures into nursing practice. Adhere to policy and procedure requirements including licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, time and attendance, dress code, patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration. Fulfill unit calls as assigned, adjust staffing for census and acuity, and escalate unit problems or unsafe working conditions to the RN.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Candidates with greater than twelve (12) months LPN experience are not eligible to participate
- In lieu of completion of a LPN program, will accept program equivalency recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
