Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse position at Recovery Innovations, working 7:00PM–7:30AM on a rotating, as-needed schedule at the Crisis - Franklin County Crisis Care Center in Columbus, OH. Works under an RN within a multi-disciplinary clinical team to identify medical concerns, coordinate care, and ensure safety. Responsible for educating on diabetic care and psychiatric medications, coordinating appointments, assisting with intake, collecting specimens, monitoring medications under RN supervision, maintaining medication records per policy and state regulations, completing clinical documentation, staying current with federal/state regulations and company policies, supporting Medical Assistants and staff with treatment and discharge planning, and performing additional related duties. The role emphasizes compliance, patient advocacy, de-escalation training, and maintaining confidentiality, with a strong focus on behavioral health and crisis care. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Current and valid LPN license
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting
- Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed
- Ability to work with agitated guest in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Effective listening skills
- Excellent clinical documentation skills
- Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements
- Driving Requirements: If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in driving policy
- If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed
- Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement
- Travel required based on business need
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism
- Successful complete and meet all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable
- A Nursing Competency Checklist must be completed as part of the new hire onboarding process
