Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the supervision of an RN as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team in a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include educating patients on diabetic care and psychiatric medications, coordinating care and assisting with provider appointments, assisting with intake, collecting specimens and coordinating lab transport, monitoring medications under RN supervision, maintaining medication records per policy and state regulations, completing required clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations and the organization’s policies, supporting medical assistants and other staff with treatment and discharge planning, and performing additional related duties. Requires graduation from an accredited LPN program and a current LPN license. Minimum one year of behavioral health experience preferred, with strong psychiatric medication knowledge and de-escalation abilities. Shift is 7:00am–7:30pm on a rotating schedule; location is Crisis - Cumberland Recovery Response Center, Fayetteville, NC. Includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development. Must meet background checks, credentialing, and driving requirements as applicable. Required Qualifications
- Current and valid LPN license
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Minimum of one year experience in behavioral health setting
- Ability to pass de-escalation training
- Strong clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and their families
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Travel as needed per business requirements
