Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse, coordinating with CNAs and actively participating in direct resident care per the plan of care. Responsibilities include administering prescribed medications, performing ROM exercises, documenting findings, supervising nursing assistants, admitting/orienting residents, coordinating with physicians during rounds, completing required paperwork, and assisting with feeding and unit management. Role requires nursing leadership on the unit, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and NYS licensure with CPR/BLS training. Schedule is 5:00pm-10:00pm (20 hours/week) with every-other weekend rotation; includes a sign-on bonus up to 7,500 prorated; fringe benefits and tuition/reimbursement options are available. Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with active NYS registration and maintain professional standards in a geriatric care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration in New York State is required
- LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- CPR training (RNS/CPR/BLS as applicable)
