Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN)

Job Summary
Assess patients, conduct screenings, and document findings using standard scales and protocols. Prioritize patient needs, collaborate with the healthcare team, and develop individualized care plans. Provide patient care and treatments, including medication administration and disease management under RN supervision. Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and risk factors while maintaining accurate medical records. Delegate tasks to nursing assistants and float employees, and assist with office nursing duties. Participate in quality and safety initiatives and maintain required licensure and competencies. Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Part-time and PRN experience prorated based on hours worked. Located in Ashland, Kentucky.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in applicable state
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational/technical training in relevant area
- 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
- All experience must be paid and in the same related field
- Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week
- Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50lbs
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull objects over 50lbs (Never required, but physical demand listed)
- Ability to stand or walk with objects up to 10lbs
- Ability to stand or walk with objects up to 25lbs
- Ability to sit at computer workstation for extended periods
- Risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials
- Risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job
- Job-related travel (Never required, but physical demand listed)
- Exposure to loud noises (Never required, but physical demand listed)
- Exposure to temperature extremes

- Ability to foster collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
