Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates at the Charles County Detention Center in La Plata, MD under RN supervision. Maintain, update, and protect electronic medical records; document and disseminate information to appropriate personnel. Manage records of controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in compliance with state and federal laws. Conduct inmate/patient sick calls and deliver treatment per written protocol and Medical Director approval. Observe, report, and document symptoms and progress to contribute to the plan of care. File and retrieve medical information in inmate medical records. Participate in a 2-week orientation and on-the-job shadowing with nursing staff. Roles include full-time Evening (2 pm–10:30 pm) or Night (10 pm–6:30 am) shifts with rotating weekends. Compensation includes base pay plus overtime, shift differential, weekend differential, holiday pay, and referral bonuses.

- Licensed Practical Nurse in Maryland
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to function under supervision
- Demonstrate clinical competency
- Experience in correctional health care delivery system is a plus
