Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs. Assist with patient exams, prepare equipment, and support providers during testing and procedures. Perform diagnostic and testing procedures including vision, hearing, drug screens, and point-of-care tests such as strep, flu, and urinalysis. Provide cardiac and airway management, administer medications, deliver wound care assessments, and communicate test results to patients. Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure all medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies. Collaborate closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and support the training of new team members. This four-day, 10-hour schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 5:15pm.
Required Qualifications
- State licensed practical nurse (LPN)
- prior experience placing and monitoring IVs
- For Maine and New Hampshire only, must be IV certified
- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in a primary care setting preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- full-time availability during clinic operating hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 5:00pm
- flexibility to work from 7:15am to 5:15pm
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- experience with or ability to learn NextGen as well as other business systems

- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in a primary care setting preferred
