Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides nursing care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, coordinating with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and active patient participation in planning and care. Supports physicians or other providers with clinical procedures and patient teaching. Requires NYS license/registration and graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; preferred Hem/Onc experience or 2 years of clinical/hospital practice. Typical duties include direct patient care, performing procedures as directed, patient teaching, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. M-F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with responsibilities that may include exposure to infectious substances and physical demands such as moving and assisting patients; CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- New York State license with current NYS registration, in good standing
- Minimum of one year experience as a licensed practical nurse or two years as a medical assistant in a pertinent practice area
- Current CPR/BLS certification
