Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with severe emotional disorders, psychiatric illness, or substance abuse under RN or physician supervision. Conduct nursing assessments, plan interventions, and execute medical regimes including administering prescribed medications and treatments. Perform crisis intervention while collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, and other nurses. Prepare and distribute medications on the unit. This full-time role involves a rotating 12-hour shift from 6:30pm to 7:00am with a salary of $50,500-$60,000. Applicants must hold a valid Oklahoma LPN license with one to two years of experience. Griffin Memorial Hospital serves as a 120-bed acute psychiatric treatment center for adults across Oklahoma.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing
- Licensed Practical Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Two years of practical nursing experience
- One year of practical nursing experience
- Possesses a strong commitment to patient well-being and safety and believes that recovery is possible
- Ability to occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds
- Willingness and ability to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to work 24 hours, 7 days per week coverage
