Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical staff, responding to physical and behavioral health needs. Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based care while following established safety, security, and infection control protocols. Monitor patient conditions, report changes appropriately, and collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. This full-time night shift role (6:30 PM – 6:00 AM) includes rotating weekends at Phillips State Prison in Buford, GA, with a salary of $30-$35 an hour.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or ER
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
