Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments prescribed by the individual's Primary Care Physician during Adult Day Services program hours. Coordinate each individual's care with other health care professionals, monitor health status, and document findings in records. Report changes in condition to the RN, Program Director, or PCP as delegated. Provide oversight of therapy treatment implementation and train staff on medical protocols. Participate in staff meetings, required training sessions, and maintain all program and Agency certifications. Work under Registered Nurse supervision with no weekends, holidays, or nights.
Required Qualifications
- Attainment of a license for a Massachusetts licensed practical nurse
- Ability to maintain on file a current copy of all required professional licenses
- CPR certification
- First aid certification
- Health records certification
- Knowledge and skill obtained through at least two years of experience in human services
- Skill in communicating and working both independently and within a team
- A qualifying criminal background check
- A valid driving record
- A valid driver's license
