Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse for assigned patients. Maintain professional accountability for patient care, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. Work 24 hours on nights at Mercy Rehab Hospital. This part-time role requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk for prolonged periods, along with gripping, reaching, bending, and squatting. ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, and LPN-IV certifications may be required or acquired within specific timeframes. Join a collaborative team where your voice matters.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Part-time availability (24 hours, Nights)
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Comparable education experience
