Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state, meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements. Work 24 hours on nights at Mercy Rehab Hospital. Physical duties include pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 lbs regularly, along with prolonged standing and walking. You may be required to complete certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or BLS within specific timeframes of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Part-time availability (24 hours, Nights)
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
- Comparable education experience
